Abstract

This study tries to discuss and analyze how the Crisis Management Strategy is carried out by the Public Relations of the Sidoarjo Regency Government. Using a descriptive qualitative approach with the type of case study research, this study tries to explain in detail how the Public Relations of the Sidoarjo Regency Government in taking action to improve the image of the region that had been tarnished due to the case involving 3 former regents. The analysis was carried out by conducting interviews, observations, and collecting documents to answer questions about why and how. The results of the study found that the Public Relations of the Sidoarjo Regency Government uses the Planning and Programme, Communication and Action, and Program Evaluation strategies through the help of Instagram media as a tool to disseminate information. As well as the use of Image Restoration theory according to Combs & Benoit.
