Abstract

Employees welfare is important because employees are valuable assets to the company. Employees who have psychological well-being will contribute more to the company. The purpose of this research is to examine the relationship between mindfulness and employees' psychological well-being with self-compassion as a mediator. The number of participants was 125 employees, consisting of 77 men (61.60%) and 48 women (38.40%). The non-experimental quantitative research method used is a survey method, utilizing Google Forms. The research scales used are the Ryff Psychological Well-Being 18 items, Mindful Attention Awareness Scale (MAAS) 15 items, and the 12 items Short Form Neff's Self-Compassion. The data analysis technique used path analysis with the JASP Program. The research results show that all hypotheses are accepted, mindfulness has an effect (estimate=0.147) on employees' psychological well-being. Self-compassion has an influence (estimate=0.808) on psychological well-being. Mindfulness can enhance self compassion (estimate= 0.399), thereby improving individuals' interpersonal interactions. Self-compassion is one of the potential mechanisms that link mindfulness with psychological well-being (estimate=0.323). The conclusion of this study is that there is a positive relationship between mindfulness, self-compassion, and psychological well-being. Improving mindfulness and self-compassion will enhance the psychological well-being of employees. Employees who have high psychological well-being will automatically perform better in their performance and work. Self-compassion is one of the variables that mediates the relationship between mindfulness and psychological well-being.
