Abstract

The development of information technology has encouraged the education sector to adopt digital systems to improve operational efficiency. This final project aims to design and build a location-based attendance information system using Progressive Web Apps (PWA) and the Simple Additive Weighting (SAW) method to determine outstanding students at SMKN 2 Ngawi. This system is proposed to overcome the problems of the manual attendance system which is prone to errors and fraud. The development methodology includes literature study, needs analysis, design, development, and system testing. The technologies used include the Code Igniter framework and MySQL database. With the implementation of PWA, it is expected that the management of student attendance data will be more optimal. The main features of this system include attendance based on location and student activeness assessment using the SAW method. Testing is done using the black box method and white box to ensure system functions run according to specifications and test the accuracy of the SAW method. The implementation of this system is expected to simplify attendance recording and facilitate the admin in monitoring attendance data in real-time.
