Abstract

Efficient inventory management is crucial for companies to avoid losses caused by stock shortages or surpluses. CV. Nampar Pumpung Labuan Bajo, a furniture store, faces challenges in accurately managing its inventory, particularly in determining the optimal order quantity to minimize storage and ordering costs. Therefore, the application of the Economic Order Quantity (EOQ) method offers a solution for calculating the most efficient order quantity and reducing total inventory costs. This study aims to develop a web-based inventory information system that implements the EOQ method to optimize inventory management at CV. Nampar Pumpung Labuan Bajo. The system is designed with various features, including the management of product categories, showcases, suppliers, purchase and sales transactions, and reports related to product orders. By integrating the EOQ method, the system can provide recommendations for optimal order quantities based on ordering and storage costs. The results of this study demonstrate that the application of the EOQ method in a web based inventory information system can help the company reduce inventory costs, improve accuracy in order planning, and enhance stock management. This system is expected to be an effective solution for improving operational efficiency and inventory management at CV. Nampar Pumpung Labuan Bajo.
