Abstract
Noise is one of the main problems in industrial environments, including at PT. Kerta Rajasa Raya which is engaged in the production of woven sacks. The production process in this company involves various machines that produce high noise intensity and have the potential to cause health problems such as hearing loss in workers. This study aims to analyze the noise level in the work area, map the noise distribution, and provide control recommendations based on the measurement results. Data collection was carried out using the grid lines method at 18 measurement points using a Sound Level Meter (SLM), and the results were mapped using Golden Surfer software. The measurement results showed several points that exceeded the noise threshold value (85 dB) based on the provisions of the Minister of Manpower Regulation. The highest point detected was 99.1 dB in the Circular Loom area. The maximum exposure time was determined based on the NIOSH method to analyze the risk to workers. This study also developed a noise control strategy based on the control hierarchy, including elimination, substitution, engineering, administrative control, and the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) to reduce the impact of noise on occupational health.
