Abstract

The rise of e-commerce transactions has increased the volume of package deliveries, yet it has also heightened the risk of package theft from home front yards. This research aims to develop a Smart Delivery Box, an IoT-based package security system that leverages ultrasonic sensors and magnetic door switches. The system uses a shipment tracking number as a single-use access code, ensuring that only authorized couriers can open the box to store packages, while providing real-time notifications to users via Telegram. The research stages include designing the hardware and software, testing individual components such as ultrasonic sensors, relays, LCD, and keypad, integrating these components, conducting security tests, and evaluating the system as a whole. The testing results indicate that the system effectively identifies empty boxes for storage, denies unauthorized access with invalid codes, and provides real-time feedback to users. Additionally, the security feature successfully limits each tracking code to one-time use to prevent misuse. The results demonstrate that the Smart Delivery Box meets its design objectives with reliable performance across various usage scenarios. This system provides an effective solution to reduce the risk of package theft while enhancing efficiency and convenience in the delivery process.
