Abstract
Perkembangan teknologi di dunia Industri kian meningkat pesat. Semakan banyak pula penumpukan limbah yang berjenis High Density Polyethylene (HDPE) dan limbah koca yang sulit terurai. Maka dari itu dari beberapa inhestri berkompetensi untuk memanfaatkan jenis material yang relatif murah dan mudah di dapatkan sehingga masyarakat umum bisa mendapatkannya dengan harga relatif murah Material Alternatif dalam penelitian ini menyelidiki material kompozit High Density Polyethylene (HDPE) dengan campuran penguat fragmen partikel kaca, harapannya untuk mengurangi limbah yang sulit terurai. Keunggulan dari material alternanf ini adalah sebagai material alternatif kontruksi Paving block. Pada penelitian ini bertujuan sebagai eksperimen untuk mengetahui nilai kekuatan komposit High Density Polyethylene (HDPE) berpenguat serbuk partikel kaca dengan menggunakan fraksi berat dengan variasi 8%, 10%, 12% 14%, dan 16% Dengan pengadukan selama 20 menit dan kecepatan 30 Rpm Partikel kaca dengan ukuran mesh 6-10, dengan pengujian uji Tarik dan impact. Analisis data penelitian mengungkapkan bahwa komposit dengan penguat partikel kaca yang memperoleh nilai tegangan tertinggi adalah pada variasi 12% menunjukkan nilai tegangan tarik sebesar 19,02 Mpa, sementara variasi campuran yang memperoleh nilai terendah yaitu pada variasi 14% memperoleh nilai tegangan tarik 10,02 Mpa.Sedangkan pada uji impact yang memperoleh nilai energi serap tertinggi yaitu pada variasi campuran 85% sebesar 9,232 Joule, sedangkan nilai energi serap terendah pada variati campuran 100% sebesar 0,831 Joule Keunggulan dari penelitian ini untuk pembuatan paving block yaitu tahan air,sahan benturan dan dapat mengurangi jumlah limbah plastik di lingkungan
