Abstract

The pavement on the Maospati - Magetan - Cemorosewu Road has sustained significant damage, characterized by potholes, undulations, peeling asphalt layers, and pronounced deflections when heavy vehicles pass. This condition severely disrupts road users, particularly during the rainy season, as deep puddles often form on the road surface, posing hazards to private vehicles and frequently causing motorcycles to overturn. This study aims to assess the extent of road damage using the PKRMS and Bina Marga methods. Once the level of damage is identified, recommendations for handling the road damage will be determined, followed by calculating the required maintenance costs. Subsequently, the available budget for road maintenance and repair will be analyzed. The study findings indicate that the level of surface damage on the Maospati - Magetan - Cemorosewu section (Km 180+040 - Km 219+100) is classified as low, with an average road condition considered good, based on assessments using the Bina Marga and PKRMS methods. According to the Bina Marga method, the recommended approach is routine maintenance" at an estimated cost of Rp. 2,635,786,094. To optimize budget allocation, a priority handling analysis can be conducted, exploring various alternatives as a reference for determining the priority sequence of road maintenance actions.
