Abstract

In supporting national development, the existence of roads has a very important role, because roads are one of the transportation infrastructure that can support all sectors. Economic growth in the Sampang Regency area from year to year continues to increase this is because Sampang Regency has a leading sector, namely salt and tobacco production. So that it must also be followed by adequate transportation facilities because the number of vehicles crossing the area will continue to increase along with the development of the area around Sampang, which aims to facilitate access to existing road transportation so that traffic access becomes smoother and easier. In this study, the pavement design was analyzed using the 2024 Pavement Design Manual reference. For the calculation of flexible pavement, LHR data is used to determine the CESA value or the number of design traffic axes that are calculated cumulatively on the design lane during the planned life. For rigid pavement design, the total number of axes of commercial vehicles over the life of the plan is used. Based on the results of the Cost and Implementation Time analysis in this study, an alternative flexible pavement design using class A aggregates with a thickness of 200mm was obtained, while for the alternative rigid pavement design, a rigid pavement design using a flexural strength of 4.5 MPa with a thickness of 300mm was obtained. The cost required for alternative flexible pavement design using class A aggregate is Rp. 12,804,591,492 with an implementation time of 7 months, while for alternative rigid pavement design is Rp. 19,513,787,534 and an implementation time of 9 months. So the alternative flexible pavement design is used in the case study of Road Widening Work on the Bts. Sampang City - Ketapang (Link 113).
