Abstract

The purpose of this study was to test whether there is a relationship between self-acceptance and perception of family harmony with psychological well being in Gen-Z, both partially and simultaneously. The population of this study were Psychology Students of the University of 17 August 1945 Surabaya Class of 2021, with a sample size of 176 students. The approach used was a quantitative correlational approach. This study used 3 measuring instruments, namely the Ryff Psychological Well-Being Scale, Self Acceptance Scale, and Family Harmony Scale. The results of the study simultaneously showed a significant relationship between the variables of self-acceptance and perception of family harmony with psychological well being (F = 32.715 and Sig 0.000 <0.05). Partially, the variables of self acceptance with psychological well-being showed significant results with a positive direction (t = 5.568 with a Sig value of 0.000 <0.05) and the variables of perception of family harmony with psychological well-being showed significant results with a positive direction (t = 4.187 with a Sig value of 0.000 <0.05).
