Abstract

This study aims to examine the relationship between future orientation and career anxiety of vocational students. This study used quantitative techniques with a correlational approach. The population in this study included 446 students from SMK Al-Asy'ariyah Prambon Nganjuk. Sampling in this study used purposive sampling technique by setting certain criteria, namely class XII students and students who have or are currently PKL. Based on these criteria, 160 appropriate samples were obtained. The instrument used consists of future orientation with career anxiety of vocational students. The results showed that there is a negative relationship between future orientation and career anxiety of vocational students. In addition, this study also showed a linear and significant relationship between the two variables which indicates that if students' future orientation is low then students' career anxiety is high and vice versa if students' future orientation is high then future orientation is low. This research can be a foundation for the importance of future orientation to determine the direction of students' careers after graduating from school.
