Abstract
Fundraising through donation boxes is a common practice in various places of worship and social organizations in Indonesia. However, the use of conventional donation boxes often faces obstacles such as inefficient manual calculations, the risk of theft, and issues of transparency and accountability. Internet of Things (IoT) technology offers an innovative solution to overcome these challenges by enabling real-time monitoring and management of funds. This study aims to design and implement an IoT-based automatic donation box money counting system. This system utilizes the TCS3200 sensor to read the color of banknotes and an infrared sensor to detect the nominal value of coins. Fundraising data can be accessed by authorized parties in real-time via an internet connection and integrated with Telegram as a notification medium. The implementation of this technology is expected to increase efficiency, security, and transparency in the management of donation box funds, which in turn can strengthen public trust in social and religious activities.
