Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh fenomena ketidakmampuan generasi z menghadapi kondisi yang menekan, dimana hal tersebut membuat individu memiliki daya juang yang rendah. Berdasarkan latar belakang tersebut, masalah dalam penelitian ini adalah bagaimana optimisme pada generasi z. Partisipan dalam penelitian ini adalah generasi z yang ditentukan dengan menggunakan teknik simple random sampling. Metode pengumpulan data pada penelitian ini kuesioner berupa google form dengan menggunakan skala Likert. Metode statistik menggunakan korelasi product moment. Hasil dari penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa optimisme secara signifikan positif mempengaruhi resiliensi. Artinya, variabel optimisme berkorelasi secara signifikan dengan variabel resiliensi maka hipotesa penelitian yang menyebutkan bahwa ada korelasi yang signifikan antara variabel optimisme dengan resiliensi, diterima.
