Abstract

This study aims to determine the relationship between self-concept and anxiety about choosing a life partner in early adulthood in Kanor District, Bojonegoro Regency. The hypothesis proposed is that there is a negative relationship between self-concept and anxiety about choosing a life partner in early adulthood in Kanor District, Bojonegoro Regency. This research design uses quantitative correlational research methods. This research was conducted on 173 respondents with an age range of 30-40 years who live in Kanor District, Bojonegoro Regency. The instruments used in this research were the Anxiety Scale in Choosing a Life Partner and the Self-Concept Scale. The data obtained was then analyzed using the Product Moment analysis technique with the help of SPSS 25 For Windows. Based on the results of the data analysis that has been carried out, the results show that there is a negative and significant relationship between self-concept and anxiety about choosing a life partner in early adulthood in Kanor District, Bojonegoro Regency. The acceptance of this hypothesis in research shows that self-concept is closely related to anxiety about choosing a life partner. The more positive the self-concept, the lower the anxiety about choosing a life partner in early adulthood, and vice versa, the more negative the self-concept, the higher the anxiety in choosing a life partner in early adulthood.
