Abstract

The research conducted aims to determine the relationship between self compassion and psychological well-being through resilience as a mediator in students with parents who apply the bapukung tradition in South Kalimantan. The population in this study were all students in South Kalimantan with a total of 89,980. The subjects in this study were 273 students. The sampling technique used in this study was purposive sampling. This research is a type of quantitative research, specifically this study uses mediated multiple regression correlation techniques. The results on path a show that there is a relationship between self-compassion and resilience with an estimated value of 0.41 and significance p <0.001. Path c' shows there is a relationship between self-compassion and psychological well-being with an estimated value of 0.94 and a significance of p < 0.001, so it can be stated that there is a very significant positive relationship. Path b shows an estimated value of 0.124 with p < 0.001. This means that the higher the resilience, the higher the psychological well-being of students. The overall hypothesis test results show that the estimate value is 0.05 with p<0.001 and z = 3.07 (z>1.96). This means that there is a very significant positive relationship between self-compassion and psychological well-being through resilience. The estimate value of 0.050 is between 0.018 to 0.083 in the confidence interval coefficient, which means that there is an indirect effect between self-compassion and psychological well-being through resilience.
