Abstract

This study aims to analyze the safety stock levels, estimate total inventory costs, determine optimal ordering quantities, and identify reorder points. Utilizing a quantitative method, the research focuses on inventory control through a continuous review system and raw material forecasting at Bayu Akrilik, located at Jl. Gebang Putih No.64, Surabaya. The findings indicate that the inventory cost for acrylic sheets measuring 122cm x 244cm x 0.2cm results in savings of Rp31,496,302 with a safety stock of 6 sheets. In contrast, the inventory cost for acrylic sheets measuring 122cm x 244cm x 0.3cm shows a greater savings of Rp35,959,326 with a safety stock of 8 sheets. Overall, the implementation of the Continuous Review System is assessed to be more cost-effective, allowing for the establishment of safety stock and reorder point data.
