Abstract
It cannot be denied that the rapid development of technology, especially in communication and information technology, has resulted in great changes in human life. The presence of affordable internet is one of the main triggers for changes in the way of communicating in society. In the context of new media or new media, communication technology creates interaction spaces that can be used by audiences to search for and exchange information or even just to find entertainment. In this context, virtual communication becomes a concept that plays an important role in bridging communication between each other. The concept of virtual communication gives rise to cyberspace which can be accessed using the internet. Virtual communication has become a new forum for humans to connect and interact via the internet with computer-mediated communication. In the context of new media, one of the virtual realities that is formed on YouTube social media is the virtual community on Jonathan Liandi's YouTube channel. This research wants to know the reality of UNTAG E-Sports students' virtual communication regarding the Empeshow broadcast and to dig deeper into UNTAG E-Sports students' attention, understanding and acceptance of the "Empeshow" video content broadcast on Jonathan Liandi's YouTube channel.
