Abstract

This study aims to examine the relationship between emotional regulation and social support with the resilience of bullying victims in Surabaya. The hypothesis proposed is that there is a positive relationship between emotional regulation and social support with the resilience of adolescent victims of bullying in Surabaya. This study is a quantitative correlational study involving 130 adolescents who were victims of bullying in Surabaya and sampling was carried out using random sampling. The measuring instrument used was the Emotional Regulation Questionnaire (ERQ) from Siswandi (2020) which is based on the dimensions of Gross & John (2003). The social support scale uses four dimensions according to Sarafino's theory (1999). While the resilience scale uses the Connor-Davidson Resilience Scale (CD-RISC) from Rinaldi (2011) based on aspects of Connor & Davidson. The data analysis method used is multiple regression analysis, with an F value of 53.991 and a Sig value of 0.000. This means that the p value <0.05 which means significant. Social support contributes to resilience by t = 9.532, while emotional regulation contributes to resilience by 0.880. In general, emotional regulation of adolescent victims of bullying in Surabaya is classified as moderate as known from the empirical mean (69.23); Social support of adolescent victims of bullying in Surabaya is classified as moderate as known from the empirical mean (51.53); and the resilience of adolescent victims of bullying in Surabaya is classified as moderate as known from the empirical mean (63.07).
