Abstract

Universitas 17 Agustus 1945 Surabaya is the first private university in East Java, established on August 17, 1958. UNTAG consists of several faculties and study programs that can be taken. In addition, UNTAG also provides regular morning classes and regular afternoon classes. Regular morning classes are classes that are held like other colleges that start in the morning and finish in the afternoon. While the regular afternoon class is a class intended for students who are doing work and can only do lectures in the afternoon. Afternoon classes consist of students who already have a job, their own income to maintain their lifestyle, to meet their college needs and much more. The purpose of the study to be achieved is to determine the effect of financial literacy on consumptive behavior, knowing the effect of income on consumptive behavior, knowing the influence of lifestyle on consumptive behavior, and knowing whether financial literacy, income and lifestyle simultaneously affect consumptive behavior. This study took respondents from afternoon class students of the class of 2020 with a population of 641, and solvin calculations were used to calculate the minimum amount of data that must be collected, and the sample to be collected must not be less than 86 respondents. In this study, researchers have distributed questionnaires with a total of 90 questionnaires to 90 individuals and obtained results with a total of 86 respondents who filled out questionnaires. The type of research that will be used is descriptive quantitative research. The analysis technique used is multiple linear regression analysis with T test, f test and determination test to test the hypothesis. The researchers also conducted validity, reliability and classical assumption tests. Overall indicators used show valid results (because the value of R count > R table 0.1786 and the value of GIS >0.050), in this study has reliable results. The results of classical assumptions obtained include 1) financial literacy, income, and lifestyle normally distributed, 2) financial literacy and income variables do not occur multicollinearity data, 3) there is data that is heterokedasticity of lifestyle variables. Termuan analysis results that have been tested with SPSS Ver. 22 concluded that there is only one independent variable that affects the dependent variable is lifestyle to consumptive behavior, simultaneously financial literacy, income, and lifestyle have an influence on konusmtif behavior and reinforced by the results of the determination test which showed that the three independent variables simultaneously affect weakly with a percentage of 30.7 %.
