Abstract

Perkembangan manusia yang semakin besar berdampak pula terhadap perubahan pola kebutuhan hidup mereka. Peningkatan kebutuhan itu terjadi diberbagai sektor yang salah satunya adalah pada sektor sistem pendingin. Tujuan penelitian ini ialah Untuk mengetahui pengaruh variasi panjang pipa kapiler dan pembebanan pada evaporator terhadap karakteristik dan Coefficient of Performance mesin pendingin. Metode dalam penelitian ini meliputi pembuatan mesin pendingin, pengambilan data, dan analisa. Variasi yang digunakan adalah katup ekspansi jenis pipa kapiler dengan panjang 0,5 m; 1 m; 1,5 m dan serta variasi pembebanan pada evaporator yaitu 25watt, 50watt, 75watt. Hasil analisa didapatkan kesimpulan bahwa penggunaan Panjang pipa kapiler yang berbeda dapat mempengaruhi karakteristik dan performa mesin pendingin. dapat terlihat dengan menggunakan Panjang pipa kapiler 0,5 meter dengan pembebanan 50watt dapat menyentuh nilai COP tertinggi yaitu 4,83 kJ/kg, namun penggunaan Panjang pipa kapiler 1 meter dengan pembebanan 75watt nilai COP menjadi rendah dengan nilai 4,13 kJ/kg.
