Abstract

Motor induksi 3 fasa merupakan mesin listrik yang paling sering digunakan sebagai alat bantu penggerak. Paling sering kita jumpai disuatu industri khususnya PT. KERAMIK DIAMOND INDUSTRIES. Dimana motor induksi 3 fasa digunakan sebagai penggerak conveyor untuk menghantarkan material yaitu batu bara. Menggunakan prinsip kerja medan magnet pada stator kemudian menginduksikan terhadap rotor sehingga terciptanya medan putar dengan ketentuan kecepatan putaran berdasarkan jumlah pole yang ada pada motor. Berdasarkan nilai putaran yang konstan pada saat motor induksi diberi tegangan mengakibatkan motor induksi tidak dapat dikontrol karena berada dalam nilai kecepatan yang kontinyu. Oleh karena itu penggunakan Variable Frequency Drive (VFD) pada conveyor mampu mengontrol kecepatan berdasarkan penurunan nilai frekuensi dengan menggunakan sistem Multispeed yang dikombinasian dengan sensor dan juga Program Logic Controller (PLC). Dengan penggunaan sistem Multispeed ini bertujuan untuk menstabilkan arus pada mesin crusher sehingga tidak terjadinya over current dan overload pada mesin crusher.
