Abstract
The problem in this research is the problem of production one way to reduce production costs is to reduce the supply of raw materials to a minimum. The expected objective of this research is to determine the trend of raw material inventory, determine the frequency of purchase of raw materials and the optimal amount of raw material needs, know the total cost of the business, find out the reorder point for raw materials during the grace period. This research was conducted at UD. Bedjo. This type of research is a case study, where research is carried out intensively in detail and in depth on an object under study. With interview and documentation methods. The variables of this study are the supply and use of raw materials. The analysis used is the EOQ method. Research and calculation results used, if using the EOQ method in the procurement of raw materials will obtain cost savings. In the EOQ method there are 2017 cost savings of Rp. 2,681,285, - in 2018 Rp. 4,257,037, - in 2019 amounting to Rp. 4.968.161, - This means that there is a difference between inventory policies carried out according to UD Business. Bedjo with calculations according to EOQ. Seeing the results above it can be concluded that the supply of raw materials every year experiences an increase in the supply of raw materials, the limit of ordering raw materials needed by UD. Bedjo when using the 2017 EOQ method was 336.6 kg, in 2018 it was 378.64 kg and in 2019 it was 342.36 kg. The total cost of raw material inventory calculated according to EOQ is less than that issued by UD. Bedjo. Then there is a savings in the cost of raw material inventories when UD. Bedjo uses the EOQ method in its raw material inventory.
