Abstract

SMA Negeri 3 Atambua or what is usually called SMANTIG is one of the senior high schools in the district. Belu, East Nusa Tenggara. Smantig has been 11 years old since it was founded in Kabuna Village in 2013. However, there are still many academic processes that have not been covered by Information Systems that can facilitate the academic process. One process whose implementation still uses manual methods is Determining Majors. So it can give rise to a lot of problems that are difficult to resolve. With these considerations in mind, the author resolved the problem at SMAN 3 Atambua using a decision support academic information system in determining majors that could be utilized by the school's internal parties. In its design, the author reviewed information obtained from parties involved in this process as reference material for system design. The author aims to use the K-Means algorithm as a reference for designing the information system that will be created. And it is hoped that the design of this system can help all parties in difficulties in selecting majors and minimize the occurrence of cases and problems, both those that have occurred and those that will occur.
