Abstract

Tujuan dari investigasi penelitian ini adalah untuk menguji dampak dari rilis hasil quick count Pemilihan Presiden Indonesia 2024 terhadap abnormal return dan trading volume activity (TVA) di antara perusahaan-perusahaan sektor pertambangan nikel yang terdaftar di Bursa Efek Indonesia (BEI). Strategi pengambilan sampel dengan tujuan tertentu digunakan dan menghasilkan sampel sebanyak enam perusahaan. Data sekunder diperoleh dari situs web Bursa Efek Indonesia (BEI) (idx.co.id), yang mencakup harga saham penutupan harian dan volume perdagangan harian selama lima hari sebelum dan lima hari setelah publikasi hasil quick count. Penelitian ini menggunakan metodologi studi peristiwa untuk menilai respons pasar terhadap peristiwa tertentu, termasuk berita baik atau buruk. Untuk mengetahui dampak publikasi hasil quick count terhadap abnormal return dan TVA, uji statistik dilakukan dengan menggunakan paired sample t-test untuk mengidentifikasi perbedaan yang signifikan antara periode sebelum dan sesudah pengumuman.Temuan menunjukkan bahwa publikasi hasil quick count tidak secara signifikan mempengaruhi rata-rata abnormal return, karena nilai p-value (0,641) melebihi tingkat signifikansi 0,05. Namun demikian, penelitian ini menunjukkan dampak yang signifikan secara statistik terhadap rata-rata aktivitas volume perdagangan, dengan nilai p-value sebesar 0,023 yang berada di bawah ambang batas 0,05.
