Abstract
Augmented reality (AR) has become an exciting innovation, allowing the integration of the real world with three-dimensional graphical elements, and opening up great opportunities for the development of educational applications. In elementary schools (SD), knowledge about medicinal plants is still limited, often caused by the level of student boredom in teaching and learning activities that are less interesting, where learning from books is still two-dimensional. Therefore, this research focuses on the utilization of Augmented Reality (AR) with the Marker-Based Tracking method as an educational tool to introduce parts of medicinal plants at SDN Ngimbangan, Mojosari District, Mojokerto Regency. By utilizing AR technology, students can see 3D models of parts of medicinal plants using markers. The purpose of this research is to provide educational and interactive information about the benefits of medicinal plants in traditional medicine to improve students' understanding and their interest in learning, especially in science subjects. This research offers an innovative solution in improving education and environmental awareness by combining AR technology with local cultural wealth. The results were obtained through interviews with teachers, questionnaires to students using System Usability Scale (SUS), and application tests using Black Box. This application gets a good average score in student validation with an average value of 86.69%, so it can be concluded that the AR application as a means of educating Android-based medicinal plants is considered feasible and can be used as one of the learning media in the classroom
