Abstract

Environmental problems are an issue that continues to be discussed, especially the problem of plastic and sachet waste. Therefore, special attention is needed to change lifestyles by minimizing the generation of waste produced. One of the efforts made by the government is to launch a national program, namely ProKlim, "Climate Village Program". Gresik Regency itself has a KLASIK SIBA Village as an implementation of ProKlim, which in its realization Changing public awareness requires a good communication strategy so that it has a big impact that can influence the wider community. This research is a descriptive qualitative research which aims to determine the communication strategy of the ECOTON foundation in realizing the formation of the SIBA KLASIK Village in Gresik Regency. This research explains the process of forming an institution/organization which is carried out using a variety of boundary spanning approaches and functions as part of a communication strategy that looks at the direction, style, channels and communication content used. Meanwhile, in the realization of the program there are also communication strategies, like a pull strategy, push strategy and profile strategy.
