Abstract
Penelitian mengenai kestabilan dimensi berbahan aluminium komposit abu dasar batu bara sangat penting dilakukan untuk mengetahui kelayakan suatu komponen. Tanpa kestabilan dimensi yang baik, maka sebuah komponen tidak akan mampu memenuhi standart mutu yang sudah ditetapkan. Adapun komponen dari bahan yang yang digunakan adalah Aluminium 6061, serbuk aluminium murni, Cairan HNO3, Magnesium, Serbuk Al2O3 ,dan serbuk abu dasar batubara (Buttom Ash yang kemudian dielectroless plating). selanjutnya bahan di cor dengan metode stir casting, stelah itu melewati proses homoginezing dan dipressing dengan 3 variasi reduksi 5 %, 10%, 15%. Setelah pelat jadi, pelat akan dipotong dengan proses pemesinan untuk membuat spesimen uji. Setelah itu dilanjutkan dengan proses pemanasan T6, setelah proses perlakuan panas T6, spesimen uji akan diuji kekerasannya dengan Brinell, untuk mengetahui kekuatan dan kekerasan setelah spesimen uji mendapat perlakuan panas T6. Setelah dilakukan perlakuan panas T6 dilanjutkan dengan pengujian hardness brinell. Pada pengujian hardness menggunakan load 125 kgf selama 10 detik dan indenter ball 5mm. Dan dilakukannya Pengujian struktur mikro dengan menggunakan metode Jeffries dengan pembesaran 500
