Abstract

In the era of technological advancement, the utilization of technology plays a crucial role in facilitating information needs and the dissemination of event information. However, many artists and art communities, including those in Surabaya, still face challenges in disseminating exhibition information, which often relies on manual methods and decentralized social media platforms. This situation leads to inefficiencies in the process of information dissemination and promotion of art exhibitions. This research aims to design a Web-Based Fine Art Exhibition Event Publication Information System Using MERN Technology (MongoDB, Express.js, React, Node.js) to enhance the efficiency of disseminating art exhibition information. The system development process employs the Waterfall methodology, encompassing the stages of analysis, design, implementation, testing, and maintenance. Testing is conducted using Black Box Testing to evaluate functional and non-functional aspects, as well as the System Usability Scale (SUS) questionnaire with a number of respondents to measure user satisfaction. The testing results indicate the success of all test cases and a high level of user satisfaction. The combination of good functional performance and high user satisfaction signifies that this system is ready to operate optimally according to the needs of artists and art communities in Surabaya. Thus, this research contributes positively to the development of an art exhibition event publication information system, facilitating artists in promoting their works and expanding audience reach in Surabaya.
