Abstract

The concept of sovereignty in state development is often closely related to democratic government systems, where modern states adopt the principle of popular sovereignty. In this context, democracy allows individuals to be actively involved and responsible for decisions that affect their lives. Political education plays an important role in building awareness of the rights and obligations of citizens in a democracy. Political parties such as the Greater Indonesia Movement Party (Gerindra) also understand the importance of political education in encouraging greater political participation and strengthening democratic principles. The Gerindra Party is committed to developing political education programs, both internally for party members and externally for the general public. The aim of this political education is to increase the political understanding of cadres and the public regarding their roles, functions and rights as citizens. The Gerindra Party implements various programs in political education, such as seminars, discussions and other programs, to increase political participation and awareness. politics, and forming intelligent and responsible leaders. Despite facing budget limitations, Gerindra continues to strive to carry out these programs in compliance with participatory principles and applicable laws. Overall, Gerindra recognizes that political education is not only important in the context of state development and democracy, but also in strengthening people's sovereignty. This party plays an active role in supporting and circulating democratic principles in Indonesia, with the hope of making a positive contribution to society and the country as a whole.
