Abstract

Pada penelitian ini mesin Hartman memiliki daya listrik sebesar 466 kW dan menargetkan kenaikan faktor daya menjadi 0,98, dimana pada mesin tersebut membutuhkan kapasitor 500 kVAR dengan menggunakan teknik kompensasi shunt. Metode kompensasi global adalah metode kompensasi yang diterapkan, pemasangan kapasitor dilakukan pada LVMDP. Untuk mensimulasikan hasil perhitungan melalui software ETAP sehingga memperoleh selisih dibawah 1 dengan hasil simulasi. Hasil perhitungan break-even point didapatkan bahwa pengembalian modal pemasangan kapasitor bank terjadi pada bulan ke-4 sejak pemasangan panel kapasitor bank.
