Abstract
In this age of advanced information and communication, public opinion is very influential on the image of an organization. Public opinion can help explain how people feel about an organization. Therefore, Binmas (Community Development) police plays an important role in building and maintaining the image of the police by conducting activities directly with the community. In Surabaya City, high crime rates and improved administrative services can lead to protests from the public. However, it cannot be ignored that there have been cases of law violations committed by police officers in the past, such as the Sambo case in 2022. The incident can affect the image of the police in the Police throughout Indonesia including the City of Heroes, Surabaya City. Therefore, in this study the researchers raised the focus of the research studied in this thesis, namely, "How is the Surabaya Police Station Strategy in Improving Image through the Friday Curhat Program in Surabaya City?". This research uses descriptive qualitative research methods. The theoretical basis used by researchers is Image Restoration Theory. The results showed that Binmas Polrestabes Surabaya tends to use the Image Restoration theory strategy which is Reducing The Offensiveness or Strategy to Reduce Attacks and Corrective Action strategy or Corrective Action Polrestabes strategy
