Abstract

The purpose of this study is to analyze the financial performance of the Genestati Cooperative Non-Governmental Groups (KSM) in Surabaya in increasing profit growth during the 2019-2023 period. The Genestati KSM Cooperative was established on December 7, 2012. With the aim of strengthening citizen relations, developing economic potential, and improving the welfare of members. Membership is limited to those who have a Family Card at Taman Pondok Indah. The establishment of this cooperative follows several relevant government regulations and ministerial decrees, including Government Regulation Number 4 of 1994 and several decrees of the Minister of State for Cooperatives and Small and Medium Enterprises. This study uses a descriptive qualitative methodology and collects data through observation, document studies, and interviews, including the cooperative's annual financial statements from 2019 to 2023. Financial performance analysis is carried out using the ratio of liquidity, solvency and profitability, and profit growth. The study resulted in a consistent increase in liquidity ratios and fast ratios, indicating the cooperative's improved ability to meet its direct obligations. Solvency ratios show a decrease in dependence on debt, while Return on Equity (ROE) increases, reflecting capital efficiency. Profit growth showed an upward trend despite fluctuations due to the COVID-19 pandemic in 2020. Recommendations for cooperatives include maintaining healthy liquidity levels, reducing debt use, focusing on operational efficiency, and risk mitigation strategies Researchers are further advised to explore specific factors that contribute to the improvement of cooperative financial performance. This research provides important insights for cooperative management in improving the financial performance and welfare of its members.
