Abstract

Human trafficking, also known as human trafficking, is a crime committed by force, fraud, or handing over people with the aim of utilizing victims for profit. This study aims to determine the law enforcement carried out by the Sidoarjo City Resort Police in preventing and eradicating the crime of trafficking in persons of prostitution as well as obstacles and efforts in overcoming obstacles in law enforcement of the crime of trafficking in persons of prostitution in Sidoarjo Police. The result of this research is that law enforcement of human trafficking in Sidoarjo jurisdiction has various obstacles both internal obstacles, namely law enforcement which includes investigation and lack of human resources and external obstacles which include the mode of crime and society itself causing challenges in handling this organized crime case. The Sidoarjo City Resort Police in facing these challenges have efforts by conducting socialization for the community, forming special teams to patrol in the face of new modes of trafficking, and empowering police members to be skilled in conducting early investigations, as well as working with the government.
