Abstract

CV. Karya Cipta Baru is one of the companies operating in the remanufacturing industry for heavy-duty vehicles such as trucks, trailers, and others. The company encountered difficulties in repairing trailers due to limitations in welding equipment, resulting in a backlog. Therefore, the company intends to invest in an electric welding machine with a 4-year economic lifespan to expedite trailer truck repairs. Feasibility and productivity analyses were conducted to assess the viability of the investment. Sensitivity analysis was performed using the Net Present Value (NPV) method, resulting in Rp. 157,491,591. The Payback Period (PP) calculation estimated the payback time at 4 months and 18 days. The Internal Rate of Return (IRR) calculation yielded an investment return rate of 234%. The Profitability Index (PI) calculation indicated a profitability rate of 8.16. Productivity analysis was also conducted using the Marvin E. Mundel method to assess the impact of the electric welding machine investment. The productivity analysis showed a moderate increase and decrease in the company's productivity index. Therefore, the investment is deemed feasible as it can enhance the company's sales and net profit.
