Abstract

The research with the title Analysis of the Reception of Novice Voters on the Speech of the Appointment of Kaesang Pangarep as Chairman of the Indonesian Solidarity Party on the CNN Indonesia Youtube Channel aims to describe the reception of novice voters to the speech of the appointment of Kaesang Pangarep as the chairman of the Indonesian Solidarity Party. The theory used in this study is the Encoding-Decoding theory from Stuart Hall with a reception analysis approach that looks at the audience from the position category Meanwhile, the Negotiated Reading by one of the informants has a neutral side to the appointment of Kaesang Pangarep as the general chairman of PSI because according to the informant there is no influence on the source, the informant thinks that this is one of the ways for Kaesang ninja to win his brother as Presidential Candidate. Informants reject or disagree with political news or take an Opposional Reading attitude by influencing young people to be more able to make choices according to what has been done.
