Abstract

According to Government Regulation Number 34 of 2006, roads are defined as land transportation infrastructure covering all parts of roads, including auxiliary buildings, and equipment intended for traffic, which is on the surface and above the ground, and / or water, and above the water surface. A public road is one type of road designated for public use. If the road is damaged, it will indirectly affect the community's economy because it will be more difficult to distribute workers and goods, just like what happened on the Menganti Wiyung-Babatan Highway which is a vital road between the cities of Surabaya and Gersik Regency. This research was conducted on Jalan Raya Menganti Wiyung - Babatan Surabaya with a total length of road sections used as research locations of 4 km with 4/2D road types and flexible pavements. Location conditions play an important role in regional and economic mobility in Surabaya. Damage to the road varies from minor damage to sloping and bumpy road conditions. In this study, the process of repairing and maintaining road hardness will be completed using the PCI (Pavement Condition Index) method. This method helps in systematic monitoring of road conditions and enables stakeholders to efficiently allocate resources for road maintenance. The results of this study found the type of damage that occurred on the Menganti Wiyung - Babatan 2 lane Highway with a damage area of 848 m2 and the most type of damage was Crocodile Skin Cracks with 20.43%, the condition of the Menganti Wiyung - Babatan Surabaya Highway was Very Good with a PCI value of 81,606, and from the results of the analysis conducted on the Menganti Wiyung - Babatan Highway as far as 4 kilometers divided into 40 segments and 2 lanes obtained from 40 (forty) segments above 17 (seventeen) segments obtained by repair techniques in the form of P3 (Crack Layer).
