Abstract

This study aims to examine the influence of Jawa Pos fact-check news content on the views of the Manyar Sedati Agung Village community. Against the backdrop of the proliferation of fake news that accuracy of information disseminated by the mass media. The research method used is a quantitative approach with data collected through questionnaires distributed to the Manyar Sedati Agung Village community. The results show that Jawa Pos fact-check news has a significant influence on public views. Most respondents have a positive view of the news presented by Jawa Pos and show a high level of trust. This indicates that fact-checking can increase public trust in credible mass media and help them identify accurate information. The study also emphasizes the importance of transparency and accuracy in news delivery by mass media and the need to educate the public on how to verify information to enhance media literacy. Thus, this research contributes to the improvement of journalistic quality in Indonesia and helps the public develop better media literacy.
