Abstract

Influence of Mobile Legends Game Usage on Communication Behavior of Student UKM Esport UNTAG Surabaya. This study discusses the influence of the use of mobile games legends on the communication behavior of UKM Esport students at one of the universities in Surabaya namely UNTAG Surabaya. Online games are games that are connected to the Internet. Online gaming users have a tendency to spend time playing games that can lead to the risk of addiction. Excessive online gaming activity will be able to keep a person away from other activities and surroundings. The aim of this study is to find out the impact of the use of online games mobile legends on the communication behavior of Students of UKM Esport UNTAG Surabaya. The results of this study show the influence of the use of mobile legends online games on communication behavior. The methods used in this research are quantitative methods. The data collection in this study uses the survey method, i.e. using the questionnaire as the data collection instrument. The data collected was obtained through Student UKM Esport UNTAG Surabaya who played online game mobile legends by spreading angket to students. In this study, the respondents consisted of 30 people whose total was the talent of UKM Esport UNTAG consisting of both men and women. The data were tested using validity tests, reliability tests, and classical assumption tests, while the data analysis technique used was simple linear regression analysis. The data that met validity testing, the reliability test, and the classic assumptions test were processed to produce a regression equation : Y = 13.177 + 0.698X. The result of the analysis can be seen through the results of the test t it is known that the Mobile Legend Game Usage variable (X) has a significant influence on Student Communication Behavior UKM Esport UNTAG with counting values (6.373) larger than the table t (0,3610) meaning the influence of the use of mobile legends games (X), on student communication behavior (Y) is significant or it can be stated that H1 accepted and H0 rejected.
