Abstract

Work problems in Indonesia are often or even still a matter of public discussion, one of which is related to differences in people's views on employment status. Many people view an entrepreneur as not working. This situation has resulted in competition in finding work becoming increasingly competitive. Meanwhile, the number of jobs available is limited, so there is the potential for unemployment to increase. Meanwhile, a country's level of economic progress is considered high if at least 4% of its citizens become entrepreneurs. The Indonesian population needs to increase awareness of entrepreneurship. In this case, the role of universities as facilitators is very important. Universities have a responsibility to provide education and encourage students' interest in entrepreneurship. Encouraging interest in entrepreneurship is not as easy as imagined. Therefore, this research will further analyze the influence of entrepreneurial knowledge, self-efficacy and social environment on entrepreneurial interest among participants in the Independent Entrepreneurship Program (WMK) University of 17 August 1945 Surabaya. This research uses quantitative research methods using questionnaires via Googleform. The population in this study were participants in the Independent Entrepreneurial Program (WMK) University of 17 August 1945 Surabaya. The sampling method used in this research is a probability sampling method. The sampling technique used was Simple Random Sampling (SRS), which determined 150 respondents to be used as samples for this research. The analysis technique used is multiple linear regression analysis. The results of this research show that simultaneously Entrepreneurship Knowledge, Self-Efficacy and the Social Environment have a positive and significant effect on Entrepreneurial Interest in participants in the Independent Entrepreneurship Program (WMK) University of 17 August 1945 Surabaya.
