Abstract

Sistem pergudangan merupakan bagian terpenting pada Perusahaan. Kondisi dan pengaturan yang baik akan mengurangi kerugian pada Perusahaan, meminimalisasi biaya sewa, serta mempercepat operasional pergudangan. Gudang harus memiliki permodelan yang dapat mempermudah dan mempercepat proses pencarian barang. Permasalahan ini terjadi pada distributor unicharm, dikarenkan belum adanya penataan yang pasti sehingga menyebabkan produk yang tidak sesuai dengan kategori dan penumpukan yang terlalu tinggi. Sehingga terjadinya barang rusak dan pencarian terlalu lama. Melihat dari permasalahan ini, perlu dilakukan perancangan dan penataan ulang terhadap gudang penyimpanan yang sudah ada. Dari hasil data dan perhitungan pada penelitian ini dapat disimpulkan bahwa layout usulan jauh lebih baik dibandingkan dengan layout awal apabila dilihat dari segi penataan dan pembagian rak yang sudah menerapkan sistem penyimpanan FIFO (First In First Out) dengan memperhatikan Class Based Storage dan Klasifikasi ABC. Sehingga mempercepat dan memudahkan material handling dalam proses pengambilan, penyimpanan, dan penurunan produk dengan lebih mudah. Dari segi penyimpanan dan penataan yang menggunakan dan penataan menggunakan metode Class Based Storage dengan 225 jenis produk yang membutuhkan 312 pallet dengan kapasitas 250kg. Dari segi perbandingan efektivitas jarak yang membandingkan antara layout lama dengan layout usulan berdasarkan data produk sebesar 61.163,5meter dengan 43.553,7 meter per harinya, yang menekan sebesar jarak sebesar 28,79%. Dan dari estimasi biaya yang dibutuhkan untuk rak dan forklift adalah sebesar Rp 712.000.000 dengan durasi payback period selama 11 tahun 8 bulan disertai nilai ROR > 15% per tahun maka analisis investasi dinyatakan layak.
