Abstract

The quality of electrical power can affect the electrical wiring in a building. According to information from the electrical technician at the Graha Wiyata University Building, August 17 1945 Surabaya there were problems that occurred during maintenance, namely Frequent changes of lights and AC failures. By doing research can determine why the lifespan of the Graha Building's electrical equipment Wiyata University 17 August 1945 Surabaya became lower than other buildings, what is the quality of the electrical power and harmonics of the Graha Building Wiyata University 17 August 1945 Surabaya has met PLN standards and IEEE 519-2014 and whether load imbalance occurs. Building Graha Wiyata University 17 August 1945 Surabaya is supplied by division There are three transformers, each with a power capacity of 200 Kva electrical equipment whose components are capacitive, inductive and reactive. This is known from the results of field measurements using pliers Hioki 3286 meter. Through voltage, current and load measurement data, the values ​​are known The highest SDP transformer load is 42 Kva and the lowest is 7.9 Kva, with the highest loading calculation was 77%. and the lowest 23% .percentage total harmonic distortion in the western lift installed power system (SDP). amounting to 11.92%. Meanwhile, in the east lift section there is a total distortion value harmonics of 13.21%. From the data that has been disclosed, it can be seen that there is difference in harmonic distortion values ​​between the western and eastern parts of the system SDP of the lift. These two values ​​must be adjusted according to the value specified by IEEE 519 – 2014 standard. Passive filter installation successful completely dampens the harmonics emitted before installation get the % THD SDP value of the east lift in the R phase 10.8%, S phase 13.1%, phase T 11.5% . % THD SDP west lift R phase 10.4%, S phase 11.1%, T phase 8.5%. After installing the passive filter, the west lift SDP % THD value in the R phase is 4.0%, S phase 4.5%, T phase 4.1%. % THD SDP west lift R phase 4.0%, S phase 4.1%, T phase 3.4%.
