Abstract
The development of energy sources to obtain useful work is the key to industrial progress which is important for a sustainable increase in the standard of living for people wherever they are. How to find new energy sources, get energy sources that will basically never run out for the future. One means is by providing electric power. Currently, electric power is a primary need, both for daily life and for industrial life. In meeting the need for electric power, load distribution occurs which is initially evenly distributed, but because of the asymmetry in the switching on of these loads, this creates a load imbalance which has an impact on the supply of electric power. Apart from asymmetry in load usage, unbalanced connection in the R, S and T phases is also another factor that causes technical losses. In transformers there are losses, both losses caused by current flowing in the copper wire which results in reduced efficiency in the transformer. The method used in preparing this final report is a quantitative method, data collection is carried out based on the results of measurements in the field, after carrying out the measurements it is completed using a mathematical model including the equation of average load current, load imbalance, power losses and transformer efficiency. . From the results of the research carried out, the final results were obtained which show the average loading current, load imbalance, power losses and efficiency of distribution transformers at PDAM Surya Sembada Surabaya, namely the loading percentage of transformers 1, 2 and 3, namely (27.92%) , (37.93%) and (31.82%), Transformer load imbalance 1, 2 and 3 is (5.5%), (4.6%) and (10.3%), Transformer Neutral Current Losses 1, 2 and 3, namely (19.92941 W), (465.4144 W) and (454.8969), Transformer Copper Losses 1.2 and 3 are (0.156034 kW), (0.287663 kW) and (0.197137 kW ) and the efficiency of transformers 1, 2 and 3 is (97.79%), (97.18%) and (96.83%).
