Abstract
The MSME sector has become the largest contributor to the National GDP. One of them is the food and beverage business. Sidoarjo as an industrial city in East Java found a number of businesses in the form of snack products, especially banana chips. Competition in the chips business has resulted in confusion about whether the business is worth running. Therefore, the research focuses on analysing the feasibility of banana chip businesses in Gedangan Kemacatan, Sidoarjo Regency. The research approach was quantitative with purposive sampling technique totalling four banana chip businesses in Keboansikep, Ganting, and Punggul villages. Research data were obtained through informant interviews and analysed using business feasibility in the form of R/C, B/C, and BEP ratios. The results showed that the average R/C value was 1.781, the average B/C value was 0.78> 0, the average BEP Unit/Month was 952 units 1,320 units, and the average BEP Rp/Month was Rp 9,329,416 < Rp 13,290,000. All results indicate that the banana chips business in Keboansikep Village, Ganting, and Punggul Sub-district Gedangan Sidoarjo Regency is feasible to run.
