Abstract
PT. Steel Wire Company (PT. PKB) is an industry engaged in wire manufacturing that produces steel wire rope for the mining industry, steel wire stranded for GSWS/ACSR, gabion wire (gabion) and various steel wire. The results of monitoring conducted at PT. PKB from a third party in May 2023, there is one measurement point that has a noise intensity value exceeding the Threshold Value (NAB). In accordance with the Regulation of the Minister of Manpower Number 5 of 2018, the maximum exposure for work time of 8 hours of work per day is 85 dB. The process area in question is the netting process (making gabion sheets) of the hexagonal wire mesh netting machine. The main purpose of the study was to determine the exposure to the noise level received by the workforce in the gabion production process area Method The study was carried out by noise mapping using golden software surfer 25 on a scale of 2 x 2 meters, then HIRARC (High Risk Risk Assessment and Risk Control) was used as risk control and a feasibility comparison with Benefit Cost Analysis (BCA) was sought.The results of measuring noise intensity in the gabion production area measuring 2 x 2 meters obtained 177 points below the threshold value (NAB) and 147 points below the NAV with a NAV value of 85 dB in 8 working hours and mapped the noise as an effort to control noise that has been carried out by PT. PKB to reduce noise exposure by means of engineering, administration and PPE which is then sought a comparison between the cost of risk control of Rp. 225,000 and the benefit of consequence prevention of Rp. 804,000, the result of the calculation of the B/C Ratio of 3.57 shows a value of 1 which indicates that risk control can be implemented.
