Abstract

UD. Surya Sejati specializes in manufacturing various components of stacking chairs, including stacking chair holders, bunk chair backs, curved chair holders, curved seat backs, bunk backrest lids, and lecture table mats. UD. Surya Sejati is a factory that applies sustainable production methods. In one day, this factory is able to produce 100 - 200 units per day. To achieve an optimal level of productivity and performance in the production process, it is necessary to design a proper work system. Based on the problems that occur, an evaluation of the individual workload at each workstation is needed to determine the optimal amount of labor. The WLA Workload Analysis Method is a way used to describe the workload needed in a company unit, so that it can be allocated appropriately. From the calculation results using the WLA method by taking the highest production demand data, the results of labor needs are 11 people. if the previous number of workers was 5 people, then the company only needs to add 6 workers. From the comparison of the number of workers, it would be better if the company continues to use 5 workers with overtime, because if to add workers will cost more The number of workers will be better if the company continues to use only 5 workers with overtime, this is because if you add workers a lot of costs must be incurred by the company. If the company adds workers, the costs that must be incurred by the company are Rp. 198,000,000 / 5 months, If the company overtime 5 workers then the company needs to spend Rp. 91,772,500 / 5 months.
