Abstract

RANCANG BANGUN MESIN PEMOTONG KERIPIK TEMPE Tugas Akhir ini mengangkat tentang banyaknya UMKM penjual keripik tempe di daerah Sidoarjo, yang dalam produksi masih menggunakan cara manual. Seperti yang kita ketahui teknologi di zaman sekarang sangatlah berkembang dengan itu kami berupaya membantu UMKM penjual keripik tempe dengan mengangkat judul RANCANG BANGUN MESIN PEMOTONG KERIPIK TEMPE, dengan tujuan membantu UMKM didaerah tersebut agar hasil produksi semakin meningkat. Perancangan ini ditujukan untuk UMKM kalangan ke bawah sampai menengah, oleh karena itu sebelum perancangan dilakukan penelitian dan survey terlebih dahulu dengan tujuan menemukan alternative mesin yang bertenaga tinggi tetapi berdaya rendah.Agar UMKM atau Home industry dapat menggunakan alat tersebut tanpa terbebani oleh biaya produksi yang tinggi. Proses pembuatan mesin ini meliputi perencanaan, desain gambar, perakitan rangka dan lain-lain. Pembuatan alat pemotong tempe ini melalui berbagai tahapan seperti : pengukuran dan pemotongan bahan, penentuan motor listrik yang ingin digunakan, pengelasan rangka, penentuan komponen, dan finishing. Alat pemotong tempe dirancang menggunakan penggerak utama yaitu motor listrik berkecepatan 1400 RPM. Alat pemotong tempe ini dilengkapi dengan pisau yang digerakkan oleh poros, yang menghasilkan tenaga dari motor listrik dan disalurkan melalui pulley dan v-belt
