Abstract

In the era of technological advancements, the utilization of technology plays a crucial role in facilitating information needs and administrative governance. However, many educational institutions, including universities, still face challenges in document administration processes that tend to rely on manual methods. This situation leads to the inefficiency of administrative processes in academic environments. This research aims to design a student information system to enhance the efficiency of document submission administration. Testing was conducted using 125 test cases in black box testing and a System Usability Scale (SUS) questionnaire with 30 respondents. The test results indicate the success of all test cases and a high level of user satisfaction. The combination of good functional performance and high user satisfaction levels signifies that the system is ready to operate optimally according to the needs of students and the Student Affairs and Alumni Office at the 17th of August 1945 University in Surabaya. Thus, this research contributes positively to the development of student information systems in the environment of the 17th of August 1945 University in Surabaya.
