Abstract
Currently in Indonesia, the incidence of landslides is getting worse and more widespread. In geotechnical engineering, one of the most common causes of landslides is an increase in shear stress or a decrease in the shear strength of the soil mass i.e., the shear strength of the soil mass cannot withstand the applied load. The slope at Kalidami Bozem has an existing condition of river stone masonry along 620 metres on the north and south sides of the bozem with an area of ± 20,000 m 2 . At the location reviewed for the study, it is precisely on the north side of the bozem which has a length of 310 metres and several points have experienced cracks. Analysis condition of the slope of Bozem Kalidami Surabaya was carried out to determine the value of the safe number on the slope using boring tests. In this study, existing slopes and slopes with CCSP retaining walls were analysed. The situation was analysed under various conditions with the aim of comparing the results. The analysis was carried out by manual calculation using the Fellinius method and the Plaxis v.8.2 programme. From the calculation of the stability of the existing slope Fellenius method obtained the value of SF 0.208 while with the Plaxis v.8.2 programme obtained the value of SF 0.833. So from these results the safety of the slope does not meet the requirements of a safe number which is >1.5. So it is necessary to improve the slope, which can be by installing CCSP retaining walls with Type W-600 class B and a sheet pile depth of 19 metres to make the slope stability safer with results >1.5. Analysed using manual calculation of the fellenius method, the value of SF 1.634 was obtained. As for the results of the Plaxis v.8.2 programme, the value of SF 1.891 was obtained.
