Abstract

Di era modern ini semakin meningkatnya ilmu pengetahuan dan teknologi menimbulkan semakin meningkatnya aktifitas manusia yang diikuti dengan pertumbuhan kapasitas kendaraan dan menurunnya pejalan kaki. Jadi kebutuhan akan sarana transportasi tidak dapat dihindarkan. Di Kota Surabaya kebutuhan akan transportasi sudah menjadi kebutuhan primer bagi masyarakat kota dan keadaan yang ada di persimpangan Jalan Kenjeran, Jalan Kedung Cowek, Jalan Raya Karang Asem, Kota Surabaya dengan tipe simpang 433 dan 4 fase sinyal yang merupakan jika satu lengan simpang berada pada fase hijau, tiga fase lainnya di fase merah. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah Manual Kapasitas Jalan Indonesia Tahun 1997 (MKJI 1997). Peneliti melakukan survei lalu lintas jumlah kendaraan yang melintas selama 3 hari yaitu Selasa, Rabu, dan Kamis dapat dihitung besarnya volume lalu lintas, kapasitas simpang, dan besarnya derajat kejenuhan. Dari hasil penelitian mendapatkan volume lalu lintas tertinggi di persimpangan Jalan Kenjeran, Jalan Kedung Cowek, Jalan Raya Karang Asem, Kota Surabaya terjadi pada hari Selasa pukul 15.00-18.00 WIB. Jalan Kenjeran (Barat) sebesar 849 smp/jam, Jalan Kenjeran (Timur) sebesar 1175 smp/jam, Jalan Kedung Cowek (Utara) sebesar 1806 smp/jam dan Jalan Karang Asem (Selatan) sebesar 1665 smp/jam. Hasil kinerja eksisting di persimpangan Jalan Kenjeran, Jalan Kedung Cowek, Jalan Raya Karang Asem, Kota Surabaya dengan tipe simpang 433 terjadi pada hari Selasa pukul 17.00-18.00 WIB, memiliki tingkat rata-rata derajat kejenuhan sebesar 0,97.
