Abstract

This study examines the Act of Cyberbullying by Children where children do not know consciously whether what they are doing is a criminal act or not, therefore many children who are entangled in the case end up in a criminal verdict, even though the existence of the Child Protection Law is a special rule protecting children who are in conflict with the law the term arises because of the existence of the Judicial System Law Criminal Child mentioned that the Child In Conflict with the Law (CCL), who is given an age limit referred to as CCL is 12 (twelve) years old, but not yet 18 (eighteen) years old. Therefore, in this paper, it focuses onthe legal rules of Cyberbullying in Indonesia and thelegal protection of children as perpetrators of Cyberbullying crimes, which is written with normative legal research methods with 2 (two) approaches, namely the statute approach and the case approach. Legal protection of children in Indonesia is very good on the basis that the Juvenile Criminal Justice System Law can protect CCL from the trial process to decisions that prioritize the rights of children. The court's ruling also provides for a lenient sentence without taking the side of the victim or child, which is in accordance with the Juvenile Criminal Justice System Act.
